Default Making It In This Economy

What are you doing to help cut costs to be able to make it in this economy? I don't buy anything that I don't need unless I find a really good bargain, I only shop sales, and we are going out to eat and for entertainment a whole lot less.

We are using coupons like they are going out of style, buying bulk, and stocking up when things are on sale. I am a news junkie and many of the message boards I visit have people advocating stocking up on dry goods and such because they believe the worst is yet to come.

I have reduced my unnecessary travel significantly, I am also cutting back on brand named foods, especially where I can find good quality at a lower price.

We have started using more coupons and we also buy more store brands. We have started using only one vehicle most of the time to save gas and maintenance costs.

We are struggling but surviving so far. I don't think we can pinch too many more pennies though. We have started using a cooperative to buy groceries and that is helping some.
