Default Needing to budget

I have set myself a really tight budget because this year we could only afford a cheap holiday and we didn't enjoy it much. We have cut out loads of unnecessary spending but I am still finding it difficult to make the money last all week. Don't you find that there is always an unexpected crisis?

It's infuriating. Just when we feel caught up on bills something needs to be repaired or replaced. We try hard, we don't live beyond our means, but it get stressful. All we can do is set aside what we can in a savings account and hopefully it'll be enough.

It does begin to seem that way after a while. I mean, it's as if the world knows you don't have money and so something is just bound to happen. I say, put aside money as much as you can and try your best to forget about it. I've been working on this lately and it really is very helpful.

Also, you can put money into CDs, that way you literally can't touch it

My wife is really good at economising and I'm usually the one who tends to spend on silly things. She will say to me, "Do we really need to buy one of those?" and it just pulls me up in time, but I do know what you mean about unexpected expenditure!

I know exactly what you mean and yes.. there always seems to be SOMETHING that happens that is completely random and out of the blue. However, if you save money ahead of time then you won't have to worry about things like that

The most common saying in my house is, "It's always something." We do put away a good bit of money every month, but every now and then something comes up that you just can't put off. It does get really frustrating.
