Well not a full new roof thankfully but after last nights crazy storm we do have to replace a good bit of it. Anyone have a clue as to how much new shingles cost? Is it a DIY project??
I would probably not DIY a roof unless you really know what you are doing. If the damage is due to a storm you may be able to get your insurance to pay for the repair.
I would think about replacing it with a metal roof. They are more durable, have the color on permanently now and it's much easier to do upkeep on it. We are going to replace ours with metal when we need to replace it.
