I can't believe the different prices at food stands (veggie and pumpkin). One place we went the pumpkins ranged from $1-$20 and the other for the same size pumpkins, they were all $5.
Some people need to get a grip and figure out a fair price.
I know what you mean. I just can't imagine spending $20 on a pumpkin and I don't know where they get off pricing them that high. For that kind of money, I'd get a really nice fake one that I could use year after year.
We went to a garden center this year that had pumpkin prices ranging from $3.99 to $9.99. I am way too cheap to spend even $9.99 on a pumpkin. The most I spent on one was $5.99.
I love pumpkins, but I hate my local pumpkin prices! Seriously, why are pumpkins so high? You would think the pumpkins were gold plated, as high as they are. I think, I might grow my own pumpkins next year.
It seems, my local pumpkin prices, have risen drastically since last year. When I saw the price of pumpkins, I also decided to try my hand at growing pumpkins next season.
