Default Property taxes due

When are your property taxes due each year? For some reason our county thinks having you come up with an extra $1,000 at Christmas is a good idea.

I hate property taxes! Ours are also due at the end of the year, along with our car tags, and car insurance premiums. This time of year is always really tight for us financially.

Ouch! I am really not sure, our taxes are in our escrow (wrapped into the mortgage). It would stink though if we had to come up with an additional $1000 around Christmas!

Ours have already been paid, we are lucky that they come a little before the end of the year and its quite helpful. I know tons of people even in our area that are not that lucky.

Ours come at the first of the year and we have until the last of January to pay them. I hate that because there is so much that comes up then. But, having taxes come back at that time also helps out a bit.

We get ours in June to be paid by the end of the fiscal year. We usually will put a certain amount in our savings account to be paid when they come due. It makes it that much easier to pay them.

Ours are in escrow too - it's easier that way for us. We had them set up that way when we bought our house. I did not want to have to budget for them during the year.

I expected ours to go up this year but they actually went down. I am not sure if we are just using less water or if they changed something to help out and lower bills at the end of the year (and maybe rack them up when its not around the holiday time).

Arghh...we have got five days left to pay, and we are still about $400 short! Not to mention that the house payment is due this week as well. We had it in our savings account until a couple of other household emergencies came up. Being a grown-up really stinks sometimes!

Ours are due by the 15th of January. They did come down a little this year, but it is still a chunk of change. I am thinking of having the house re-assessed next year to see if that helps.
