Are you pulling your investments out of the stock market before August 2nd? I was discussing this with someone earlier, and she said their money manager recommended getting out as much as they could and putting it in a special bank account until some kind of decision has been reached and the downgrade happens.

I am not pulling anything out. If everyone goes and does that then we are going to further harm the stock market and the economy. I am going to stick where I am and hope for the best.

Pulled mine out months ago. That may be true Rhonda, but I didn't work hard to help anyone else make money. If they aren't smart enough to pull it they will deserve exactly what they get...the potential to lose every dime.

You guys realize what happens if everyone pulls their money out right? There will be a stock market crash which could cause another depression... if we aren't already in one.

I am seriously thinking about stopping my 401K plan at work. Of course just for the time being. I hate looking at my statement (online) each week. I see my money going away.

They say the rich buy when everyone is selling. I wish I was rich and could buy now. I bought Ford when everyone said it was stupid. I've still made a profit at the last look at Ford.

If I sold some of the stocks now, I lost money that I cannot get back. If I keep the stocks I have a chance to get my money back. So if they are a company like ford, or coke, why should I sell?
