Default Rude coupon takers

I always end up using coupons no matter where I am - grocery store, restaurant, fast food place. If they accept it, I use it. The only issue is when people end up behind the counter and end up being a brat about it. How do you deal with rudeness when there are coupons involved?

I hate when this happens and if they won't be reasonable I ask to speak to the manager. The problem is they don't want to deal with coupons so they try to make up the policy as they go.

There is a manager at my local store who will decline any competitor coupon even though they can clearly take them. He is just lazy and sadly he is a smug punk who is barely old enough to drink. I dislike people like that.

I ask to speak to a manager. There is no need for anyone to be rude. It's not their pocket that you are taking money out of. If more people turned these rude people in, maybe they wouldn't be so rude!

I had one cashier that was rude anytime I checked out with coupons. I had no trouble telling her what the coupon policy was and showing to her if I had to. Chickie, it's true they act like you are stealing their money. It is ridiculous.

I had one lady at the local Wally World who told us she couldn't take the coupon I gave her for a free item, because it was copied on the printer. I have no idea how she figured I could do the 3D image on the back of the coupon. Sheesh!

Find the stores corporate listing and call to complain. That is what I am doing this week after at my wits end dealing with a little smarty pants store manager who thinks he is gods gift to everything and everyone, he is anti-coupon (any, competitors or not).

I refuse to deal with rude people for anything, if someone gives me flap I smile nicely to kill them with kindness and ask for a manager. If none is available I have no issues stepping aside and calling a corporate line.

I do not deal well with rude people and I do not get back at them by being rude or anything. Two wrongs never make a right but you do have options. I would suggest speaking with the store manager to start with, then climb the ladder until you get the results you want.

As soon as they get rude about it I smile politely and ask for a manager. That's always fun because the lok on their face shows they know they messed up this time. I guess most people just go along with what they say...not me. I have the coupon policy for the stores I shop at printed in my coupon folder.
