Default Salvage Grocery Store

I found a local salvage grocery store in our area and I'm in love! I found salad dressings still with a good date for $0.75 and Olive Oil, sealed in good condition and with a good date for $3.50 for a $10.00 bottle. There are a lot of different foods from speciality stores that I haven't heard of, but since they are still in date and sealed, I'm thrilled!

What a great find! We have a store here that sells damaged items from trucking companies. They have things like dented cans and overstocks. I always forget that it is there though!

Wish they had one of those around here. Sounds like they have some pretty good deals and you found them. Maybe I can check around and see if there is something not to far away.

I have never heard of a salvage grocery store before. I would love to know more. Is it like a discount grocery store or something else?

I don't think I have one in my area but now I know to look. I always look at the clearance table at my grocery store-have gotten some pretty good deals there.

We used to have one of those and it closed down. I really loved it.

Rhonda-What we're talking about is a store that takes short date items or items that have been damaged, like boxes that have been bent or cans that have been dented. You can get some awfully good bargains that way.

Oh, I love places like that. I've found some interesting and delicious things in the one near us. We also have a store in our local flea market that sells things like this too. I've gotten a lot of shampoos and conditioners and the like for a fraction of their normal price. I love it!

We do not have stores like that here - and it stinks from the sounds of it. I would like to get in on some good deals too. I probably would not go often as I don't have the time to shop at a lot of stores.
