Default Saving money at the grocery store

I find myself trying to save money each time I go to the grocery store. Do you have any general tips on saving at the store? Like, what brands do you go for? Is it cheaper to buy frozen, ready-made things than to make things from scratch?

I don't think it's cheaper to make frozen things - and it certainly is not as healthy as making them from scratch.

I use coupons! I shop sales and combine the coupons and save even more.

When it comes to frozen vs from scratch I think it really depends on what you are making. Single serve frozen dinners are expensive and don't last long. If you get a box of noodles that come with seasoning or sauce, you can feed one person for at least 2 meals. Sometimes cooking from scratch can be just unhealthy as frozen food too.

I use some coupons, but I get impatient waiting on the sales. The way I save money grocery shopping, is by scanning ads for cheap food, then I have Walmart price match.
