Default Saving money for vacation

We were just offered a pretty cheap vacation but I'm not sure it is in the budget still. Would you push some things aside so you could go? It's only going to cost like $500 for a week at the beach.

Wow - that's quite a deal. Get saving. You can do it! I would take it out of my savings account for that cheap of a vacation. I hope you can take this trip!

Do you have any other vacations planned for the summer?

I am already on my way of savings. I have saved out $100 of this paycheck. I don't want to take it out of my savings account. I try to leave that alone for emergencies.

We have several camping trips planned.

If I were in your situation, I think I would go for the vacation (assuming that it's a really nice place coupled with interesting activities) though it would mean cutting back on some things such as trips to the restaurant or at my favorite coffee shop.

Oh yes, I agree. I have already cut back on ordering out lunch - I'm taking my lunch to work daily. This is saving a lot of money! I'm sure I will keep this up even after I save enough money for vacation.

We are never normal vacationers and we end up taking random trips instead of large ones. People can seriously go broke on these types of things and I just do not get it. What are people paying for Disney trips now?
