Default Second hand store

Wish me luck! I dropped some clothes off for the first time at a “used clothing store”. They pay you cash or credit to use there. I’m hoping to get some half way decent money so I can buy another Christmas present. I will find out in a couple of days!

You just drop them off? How do you know if they get sold or not and what is to stop them from losing them accidentally?

Oh no - they buy them right up front. They are a used clothing store. You take in gently warn brand name clothing and they pay you a certain amount for what they want. You get the items back that they don't buy!

That sounds pretty cool actually. Most consignment stores will sell what you take and then give you a percentage. I've never heard of what yours does.

I know there are a few stores like that in my area but most of them are actually quite further than my normal trip to a store, I am talking a good 1 1/2 hour drive time. I wish they had drop boxes that would be kind of cool too. Maybe a way their website could inventory your items, print you out a slip, you drop the clothes off and receive some type of verification and they can send you a check in the mail.

We do this a good bit, at least 3 times a year to make sure we are not hoarding things that we do not need. It is always nice to be able to give back and sometimes even get back (cash) too.
