Default Social Security problems

I just read an article talking about Social Security Disability and how it is almost insolvent. It’s pretty scary to be honest. They were also talking about Social Security and Medicare and how it’s in rough shape. I still can’t figure out why we are paying in so much for our entire working lifetime and how it might be gone when we get old enough to claim it.

I was just talking about that in another tread. It is scary in the extreme for the social programs we all knew and grew up with, to be in such trouble. I don't know what people will do if they end.

They are in trouble because the politicians kept borrowing the money in the accounts and never paid it back. Each generation just kicked the can down the road so to speak. Anyone under 65 counting on social security or medicare to be there when they retire is nuts.

They're in trouble because every once in a while some bleeding heart liberal gets the disability laws changed to include alcoholics or drug addicts. When they get free money then they don't have any reason to change.
