With the end of the year fast approaching what are the new tax deductions that can be listed on next year's tax returns? When does the IRS announce this kind of thing? I'm always on the lookout for special deductions because they can add up.
That I do not know. I cheat and usually bug my tax guy when filing the 3rd quarter taxes. I usually tell him anything I've done, for example installed new energy star windows last year, or energy star fridge, those sort of things. Then ask them how much I can put into what type of retirement account so I can write that off too.
