Default Spend vs Save

Right now we are trying to cut back on the extra spending and I notice when we are saving, of course it allows us to buy the little things that sometimes we really like. For me, I hate spending a ton of money on things to clean with, it just does not seem like it should cost a ton to clean you know? So what are others doing to check their spend vs save, and how much are you really saving?

We very seldom buy anything that we don't really need. It's not so much about saving though - that's just the way we are. I would say we save, on average, about one quarter of what we make.

Right now we are spending more than saving. I know I need to stop it. There seems to be a lot of things that we need and I just go buy them.

We are usually savers rather than spenders but when we do spend it tends to be big. We have cut way back on our going out to eat budget and I have been saving a good bit with coupons for groceries lately.
