What is an affordable way to spend money to have good music?

I have been paying for Pandora, which is an annual fee so it's not bad. I also pay for an XM radio in the car. I occasionally buy CDs. I know some people buy new CDs all the time and fill up their iPods but I prefer to spend my money on quality radio.

What is Pandora? I've never heard of it. I'm trying to figure out what the best download service is so my husband can get music for his MP3 player.

Pandora isn't a download service but it's more like customizable radio. You can have all the stations you want and it's free if you have commercials. You say what kind of music you like and it gives you similar music to that artist or song. It's nice for parties and long drives.
