Default Stop spending

When it comes to making money online, I always make a new year resolution that this year I will stop spending and start earning. But time by time I am always interested with new money making programs and end up being scammed.

The rule for online jobs is if you have to pay for the job, it's a scam. You don't pay to work, you get paid to work. So unless you're a savvy business person who knows what kind of investments are worthwhile or a product you can believe in, skip it.

I've made a few bucks selling some old books/movies and music on half.com. I haven't looked beyond that.

Default If you do pay

Now most jobs you have to pay for are scams. However there are programs and educational guides that are well worth the money. Still you have to pick something and stick with it or you will never get off the ground and make money online.

While the programs and educational materials may not be a scam, they're not worth the money you put out for them in my opinion. There's no substitute for hard work and patience.

How about making a goal to go out and find a part-time job? This way you could earn money too. How about selling stuff on e-bay? or doing surveys? secret shopping? Anything like this in your area?

I've looked for secret shopping jobs that weren't scams but I haven't been able to find any. Does anyone know of any reputable secret shopping programs?

Thanks for the information. I just visited half.com and it looks like a great place to make money selling old books, as well as save a lot of money buying used books. It belongs to eBay, right?

Never pay for something that should be free (as in learning), most scammer places play on the fact that people want to learn how to earn money and are okay by spending money to learn. Stop giving them what they want (your wallet).

I work online from home and it took me months of diligent searching to find and get hired with the two companies I work for. Check out this website Work From Home - Work at Home Jobs, Recipes & Articles For Moms - WAHM.com for some really good, legitimate resources.

Thanks Artesia for sharing the link. What kind of home jobs do you do for the companies? I am a fast typist and I always dream of doing legitimate typing jobs.
