We have to travel to see the doctor and we usually have to go about once a month. This adds up to quite a bit when you are travelling 70-80 miles from home. We also have to buy food when we go on this trip because it takes quite a while to get there and back. All in all, we probably spend at least 50-75 dollars all together on just that. It's so expensive to go ANYWHERE today!

I agree that travel can be very expensive. We travel a lot and we have to take into consideration food cost when we're on the road. If you're really in a bind, how about packing lunches and/or snacks for the kids?

That's a good idea Candice81. They could make it a picnic type of meal. Make it fun and do some activities while you are having lunch, maybe at a park where the kids can play too.
