Default UK General Election

I wonder what will happen to the money markets around the world now that the UK election has produced a hung parliament with no single party having a large enough majority to govern on it's own?

Well right now the pound isn't doing very well. There was some small recovery yesterday but then it dipped again back to almost the low. Not much can be done-the markets have lost confidence.

When it comes to market confidence, perception is all that matters, and the election result seems not to be well accepted by the markets. Let's just expect that it will not last too long.

I think the world economy is still unstable. With the trouble in Greece and the riots in Thailand then we have the unstabiility in the UK government, it really effects the world financial stability.

Really don't see an end to it soon. Why would it end? The situation that caused it isn't going to go away any time soon. I think we will be in this mess for a while.

Actually I was thinking about forex trading business. The experienced traders must reap so much profit from this unstable situation. I think forex market is the only market which is not affect negatively by any political and financial situations.

Yeah the forex people will make a mint at times like these. The Dow fell 3% yesterday because of the Euro pulling it down. I hope it doesn't drop too much.

The longer it stays unstable the more the people with lots of money are worth. If they don't fall at this time, they will be some of the only secure individuals on the planet. Gold will soar in price, more than it has already.

I think the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is putting a strain on things too. I don't know how that's going to come out. It's going to ruin the shrimping industry and the ecological implications are enormous.
