Default United States loses AAA credit rating

Anyone concerned now that the first US credit ratings agency has dropped our AAA status? German and Chinese agencies actually dropped us down a couple of weeks ago, but that didn't make much of a splash in the mainstream news.

I wonder if the media is doing what it does best again to avoid reporting on the things that matter. That or a coverup, take your pick.

Yeah, pretty much. They had everyone so focused on the debt crisis that a bunch of other news was barely reported, like the FAA standoff which was important, but in our papers only had a tiny article on page 5.

I'm surprised it did not happen after the 2008 mortgage information came out. I think it is funny Michael Moore says to jail those who are the head of the S&P.

But it is all politics in my opinion. China also downgraded us awhile ago, but not many news articles on that.
