Did you ever unnecessarily lose money? Maybe you had to pay fine for speeding ticket you received, or you spent your money on gambling tables, or a pickpocket stole your wallet. How did it feel?

Once, many years ago, I left my purse in a cinema toilet. It contained most of my month's salary with which I was intending to pay my bills. (We used cash in those days). Of course it was gone when I went back and I felt sick to think I had lost so much money due to my forgetfulness.

To be honest the money I waste most is on fast food. I tend not to pack a lunch and when I look at how much I spend sometimes on a sandwich here, burger there, coffee to go... it really makes me queasy. I have to go back to using cash more, verses the debit card. I spend less when I have to turn over the money.

I am a speedy driver so it's not unusual for me to get a ticket for speeding. Still it's annoying as I could use the money for something else. I also spend quite a lot to buy bottled drinking water which I shouldn't.

When I buy something that I find out later on is not useful or I can live without, that is unnecessary loss of money. Something I regret, but something that I sometimes do again.

Thanks guys for sharing your experiences. Glad to know that at least I am not alone here. I always lose my pen and I can "finish" 10 - 12 pens a month! That's really waste money.

I still get my morning coffee fix at the coffee shop 2 to 3 days a week. I usually don't think about it until I adding up receipts and see how much it costs over the course of a month.
