Default Wal-Mart Black Friday

Did you see the Black Friday ad for Wal-Mart? I’m not impressed at all. I don’t get why they are advertising items for “sale prices” when it’s already their price. For instance Wal-Mart is advertising the Kindle for $79 – it’s already $79 today. Same thing with the iPod (touch) – right now in stores it is $195 and that is the Black Friday advertised sale price? That irritates me to no end.

I don't do Black Friday shopping so I didn't notice but yeah, those aren't good deals at all. You can get the Kindle or the Nook for that price online right now, no need to go to Wal-Mart for that.

I think many people are fooled when stores do this, and WW is not the only one. Some people are just not paying attention to prices year round. I thought I was going to head out today but after thinking about it all day yesterday I decided its not worth the battle (or possible bruises).

I saw the same thing and I have to tell you that I did not buy 1 thing at WW. I did get some great deals at Target though. I know the prices, I make lists and I stick to them. I did not get ripped off anywhere this morning.

I think WalMart is banking on people shopping there and then coming in for WalMart gift cards (their new price guarantee). I think the whole thing is silly.

I did not buy anything there either.

I check around. Lowes or Home Depot was offering something I wanted, but it was not a sale price. Then again it was a newish tool from Dremel. So I am not sure if it will go on sale anytime soon.

Amazon's lightning deals are tricky. They may only drop the price a few dollars, but show you the MRSP value, which they never sell for anyway so it looks like you are saving extra money.

Maybe I am being stingy like the wife says.
