Walmart is bringing back lay away in a limited fashion so they can help the "poor people" out this Christmas. This doesn't start until October, and it is only good for toys and electronics.
That sounds fantastic!! I miss layaway and actually go to another town about 30 miles away because they do have layaway. I've bought a ton of stuff that way and love it. It's so much easier than coming up with all of the money at once.
Why are you saying "Poor people"? I've seen this listed all over and I don't see "poor people" anywhere.
I saw they were doing this, it's a $5 non-refundable fee and a $10 cancelation fee if you don't pick it up. I believe it's for toys and electronics only and the order has to be over $50.
I saw a story too where they highlighted poor people and another stated it was for the economically disadvantaged. They may have changed it if an editor or CEO noticed it. I'm glad they are bringing it back, but I wish it was for more than just toys and electronics.
Sounds like a good idea. Kmart is the only place around that really still has it, right? Hopefully it will help out some people for the holiday season coming up.
