Nobody would disagree that the wheel is the one of the most influential inventions in the world. What about money? I think it's not less important and influential than the wheel. Anyway, when was money invented?
I don't know about the current currency we use but as long as people have dealt with each other they have had a form of currency whether it was barter or loan. I know Native Americans would use shells sometimes or other forms of currency that meant something to them.
The concept of money was invented at the same time that the concept of trading goods and or services for each other was invented. The value of something is subjective as is the value of the currency you use to purchase it.
I do not know where it was invented but it is interesting how it has evolved. Humans have used everything from shells and stones to metal and plastic for money.
LOL that's a good idea. It reminds me of the story that someone made a great deal with some tribal people and he got a lot of stuff, food, clothes, crafts etc. for a mirror!
The saying goes, that "The love of money is the root of all evil". Money must have been invented by the devil himself to ensure that more people will be evil doers.
Haa, that's interesting. I don't think that the devil is intelligent enough to invent money. It need something smarter and more evil: humans LOL. Just kidding.
