In our family, we each sit down monthly and figure up our bills and what we need to pay, when. We then either call and make a payment over the phone, or use bill pay online with our bank. It helps if we both can see where the money is going. It actually prevents a lot of fights since we are both on the same page.

Good plan if it works for you. I am an accountant so I keep the books at my house. I find it easier. My hubby sees everything, I just make sure the bills are paid. I usually pay everything online - there are a couple of bills that can't be paid online.

I take care of all of the bill paying myself. We do keep all of the bills that come in, in the same place so they are handy when I sit down to do the monthly bills.
