Default Burn or Bury

Do you burn or bury the dry leaves and papers that are in the trash? Burning seems the easiest to do with this trash while burying them will take a lot of time as well as your energy.

When I was little and lived in upstate New York, my dad would burn the leaves all the time. We lived on a river. Now I live in Florida and you can`t burn the leaves you have to bag them up and either take them to the dump or put them in the trash can.

I have a compost bin and I take whatever I can and toss it into the bin. Guess you could consider that a form of burying, couldn't you?

They just passed a law that you cannot have an open pit fire in your yard anymore. We live in the country and we always burned the leaves or the paper garbage. We also had a lot of bon fires, but this new law outlawed them. The fine is pretty steep too.

In my state they made it where you can only burn a couple of months a year and you have to have a permit to do it. We compost most of our leaves.
