Do You Sell Aluminum Cans? I was just wondering if anyone else sold their aluminum cans? We save them and then sell them later when we have a lot of them. They are going up in price so we are making a lot more on them.

We recyle them because we pay a deposit on them, but I have heard of others who sell big balls of used aluminum foil, but I haven't found out where to do that. All we have around here is newpaper recycling.

My neighbor sells them, which is good for me because I don't have to worry about dragging my stuff to the recycling center. I can't believe that we still don't have recycling pick up around here. If all municipalities had it I'll bet more people would recycle.

Sell them? To who? We also pay a deposit on all cans 5 cents here in NY. We take them to the stores to get that money back. All other aluminum we take to the scrap yard for money along with the steel.

I would love to trade in my aluminum cans for money, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any place around my area which will take them. The second that somebody starts accepting aluminum cans, the second I will be more than happy to give them some.

I have done this in the past but not recently it's kind of messy and I don't have anywhere to keep them. What is aluminum up to in price these days?

I don't think that we can earn money doing this at home. We have aluminum recycling centers already that are all around. Are there centers where I would take the stuff to? Our recycling is pretty comprehensive, so I don't know that I could compete with that.

We've all given up soda at my house so we don't have any cans to recycle anymore. No one in my house drinks alcohol either so we don't have anything to take. We do occasionally pick up a can or two in our driveway but I just put it with the rest of the recycling and take it to the center. I never have enough to sell but I know there are many people around that do sell quite a few and make a bit of extra money doing it.

| We recycle ours. We have a deposit that we are charged when we buy them, so we always save them up and take them back when we have a bunch. It always feels great getting that money back!
I know that people in PA save their cans because there is no deposit. They take them and get cash for them. It is a good idea. |
