Default Even if it's just a hoax....

What do you think about the people who believe that global warming is just a hoax? They maybe right, but what I don't like is that they use it as an excuse not to care about the environment and living greener.

I don't think global warming is a hoax, but I believe the government is using it to their advantage by saying it's caused by carbon emissions. I'm not saying that carbon doesn't have an effect; I just think the government is overstating it - way overstating it.

With all the cars that people drive and other forms of carbon emissions, I believe it has an effect on global warming. I think the question is how much? If there is anything we can do to slow it down or stop it, I think we need to. Doesn't heating and cooling of the earth happen naturally, without any influence from people, though?

I don't know if it's real or not but regardless people should try to be a little more environmentally conscious. We only have one planet that will support human life so we don't want to ruin it.

I think it very well may be a hoax but I still recycle and try to use as few chemicals as possible. Didn't Al Gore actually admit it was a hoax in an interview somewhere?

Interesting, I didn't remember ever watching the interview. I would try to find it on Youtube, hope it's there. Anyway, I agree that with or without global warming issues, it's imperative for us to live greener and care more about the environment.

I do not know if he said it was a hoax or not. But his life style contradicts his statements.

I say if we can do better by Mother Earth, and not cause us grief then why not. It does not take that much effort to recycle, or live a little greenier. If you want to go one step further and use rain water to flush your toilets, eat only what you can grow, live in 100 degree heat and not use the a/c then good for you.
