I don't know how could there be people that are still in denial about global warming. I am trying to recycle and I hate when the girls father don't take it seriously. How do make everybody comply with recycling in your house without appearing to be the monster.

If you have developed a sudden passion for recycling it may be that your husband is reacting to, rather than the principle. So long as the girls do their bit I would leave him to come around.

Just do the best you can. That's about all anyone can do and remember that any little bit that's done, helps. Get the girls into a game to see who can find the most recyclables. Who ever would get the most for the month gets to pick a restaurant (from a list you can afford) for the family to go to. It's easier to get kids to do anything if you make it a game.
