Default Freecycle

Does anyone else use the freecycle network? I do and I love it. People just post things that they want to get rid of them and people who need the stuff go pick it up...all for free! The purpose is supposed to be to keep as much stuff out of the landfills as possible.

This is an interesting concept. This can actually help reduce the garbage dumped on land fills. We never have this kind of recycling method in my neighborhood so I might suggest this to the proper authorities.

Yes, I've used it off and on. My problems with it deal from the moderators who are a little ... well, truthfully, a little 'out there'. As a tool, though, it's still a great source. I've gotten a few things and given away some things. It beats tossing things into the trash.

I've never had issues with the mods, and have cleared some rather large and difficult to move items in the past. I think it's a wonderful resource.

Yes, I have and it's a wonderful way to get rid of things you don't need. You can also get some wonderful things on the freecycle network. I've gotten rid of non-working lawn-mowers and trimmer string from trimmers that have died on me. Great program.

I wish there was a freecycle group closer to me. The closest one is about 45 minutes away. It's in the city and I don't feel real comfortable going there either.

I love the idea, but wish it was closer.

I absolutely LOVE freecycle. I'm on three different lists where I live because there are so many towns right near where I live. I have to have them come in a seperate folder, I get so many emails about stuff!

Where have you all found stuff on freecycle? I haven't heard of it before, but it sound like a really interesting concept that I would love to learn more about and maybe use.

I use it too and have had great success both giving away and receiving stuff. Karyn google it and it should lead you to their yahoo groups and you can find one in your area. I have 3 near me and I love it.
