I've been researching various alternative housing designs and I came across something interesting called cob and bale construction. Wondering if anyone has attempted building a home like this or if they've ever been in one.

I'm interested in alternative ways of building. I've heard of straw bale construction, but not cob and bale. I wonder what the differences are. I hope someone knows and will share with us.

Cob is a mixture of clay, sand and straw. The construction uses no forms, bricks or wooden framework; it is built from the ground up.
