Do you make homemade fertilizers? I have seen a reality show where they use their own fertilizers for their own plants. They made their fertilizers using the scrap food and peelings.

Are you talking about making a compost heap? I have done this before and you can use it to add nutrients to your soil that you're using. There are lots of ways to do this, plus it's free!

I wish I can make my own compost. I think if you have a farm, it's easier to make your own organic fertilizer as you can easily get compost materials you need (like cow manure, straws and other vegetative materials).

Karyn, yes I was talking about compost. I agree that there are a lot of ways you can create compost even though you don't have a large space. Webhouse, you can create a compost using the scrap foods from your table and the peelings you get from preparing your dinner.

I just bought one of those compost pails that sits on your counter to see how that works. I'll have to let you all know if it's any good. I'm excited to try it out.

I need to start doing this again and since we are in a larger place it should be simple. The motivation just is not there which is part of the problem.
