How easy has your city made it for you to recycle?
I have to say that my city has made it quite easy for us to recycle. We've had the blue bag program for quite a while. Just separate and throw the blue bags into the trash. Now we even has an extra big blue garbage container to put the blue bags. I know this is to simplify collection, but in the city you never turn away an extra garbage can. So we have been recycling for years.
Do you recycle? Does your city make it easy for you to do so?
Not at all. We have to separate everything and then drive it into town in order to recycle it. I have no storage space so it's quite difficult for me to keep it until there is enough to take for one trip. I love to recycle but most of what I do is to re-purpose things since it's hard for me to get to the recycling center.
VERY easy! I love how simple the city let's us throw all recyclables into one big box and they pick it up and take it away. It's wonderful because I keep the box on my deck, throw out whatever I need to (glass jars, cans, etc.) and set it on the curb once a week.
Just like LitGirl, we have bins that are provided to each house bold. We have one for glass, aluminum, and plastic, and then another for paper products. On garbage pick-up day we just haul the bins out with the rest of the trash and the city picks it up. The only thing I wish is that we had larger bins.
