What do you do about people you know who don't make any effort to conserve, recycle, or "live green" in any way? I have some friends who refuse to do anything and when I try to tell them they just say, "We know, we know," but then they keep on being wasteful. They are really starting to drive me crazy!
It would drive me crazy as well! Fortunately I don't have any friends who are like this but what I would do is maybe suggest ways they can do stuff or as a gift next time you go to their house for dinner or something buy the CF bulbs for them.
I call it like I see it, I tell them they are idiots and things do not grow on trees that they are wasting. I really try to explain to people that certain things will offend me - this one one of them.
