Default Only One Recycling Bin?

I am going to be so happy when I can move out of this apartment and into my house. There is only one recycling bin for the whole apartment complex. A small bin for 5 apartments, whereas there are 5 bins for trash. That just irks me.

We have smaller ones so they gave us two, when I lived in MD we had large bins (like the size of trashcans) so then we just had a single bin. I wish I had that again, right now anytime it rains on pickup day everything ends up muddy.

I have to drive mine across town to the recycling center. I would love it if our town were to start a curbside recycling program. It would make things so much easier for me.

I know how your feeling. We have two recycling bins the city picks up curb side. One is for paper, and the other is for plastics. The only problem is, is that we need another one for the plastics. I called and requested an extra, but they would not give me one. Very well then, in the regular trash is where all the extra plastics are going. They can sort it out!

That would do more than just irk me, heck I am in a house now and I requested a second bin. They seem to think one tiny bin per house is okay, it might be if I lived alone. There are three people here and 6 pets!

Our township picks up recycling every two weeks. We also have 2 bins; one for paper and the other for cans and plastics. If we need extras, they are available for a small price at one of the local hardware stores. We can put out as many as we need to, as the township would rather that we recycle rather than throw out.

In our place, each household has one big blue recycle bin which the city collects. The issue is that they pick it up every other week, so the bin usually ends up chock-full of recyclable items or sometimes the bin isn't enough to contain everything.

We have small bins and we only get one per household. We can get more bins but after the first one we have to pay $7 each to buy them. I went and bought the second bin because one wasn't nearly enough.
