Default Out to dry

I love hanging my clothes outside to dry. My daughter thinks it’s a pain yet she always preaches about “going green”. She is 14. Everyday I start a load of laundry and leave for work – her note of what to do for the day is – hang out the laundry. I keep telling her that it’s “green” and she is helping the environment. Gotta love these kids that want to go green but not if it means extra work for them.

I know what you mean. My kids are always getting upset if we don't reuse or recycle, but if it means they have to do the work suddenly they don't want to be so green.

Got the same problem here. I have no idea who they think is going to "save the planet" unless we all do our share. I've been trying to get them to do more community work so they know what's going on with the green movement.

Community work is a great idea - antisquad. I have the same problem with my kids! Green, recycle, killing the ozone! I hear it all the time. My response is go pick the beans or water the garden- Mommmmm I'm busy! Seriously ~ it's all part of being green.

I have the same problem with my children. Turn off the lights when you leave a room - yet I go behind them and the lights are still on. Better yet, we will go outside to swim and when I come back in their TVs are on in their rooms.

Going green is easy when it's something your kids have to do.
