Default Partial solar

Would it make any sense to get partial solar panels on a house? I'm thinking about building a new house next year and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to afford to go as green as I would like, but I thought if I could do partial panels maybe it would help.

My guess is even a little bit will help. I would get two quotes and also look into how much you might save over the course of time on electricity.

We looked into solar panels, but the savings on electricity is nearly 0. I think because we're so shaded by trees. We just can't afford the investment with so little return.

Perhaps there are other green choices you can make instead?

If I had the money I would. With the tax credits, you can save even more now. But I think you would need to stay in the house a while before it really pays off.
