How many people still rake their yard after they mow? I still do it everytime I mow to keep the yard looking good. I use the clippings to put in my compost bin. It's wonderful to compost with!
Once a month or so I use a lawn rake that I pull behind the mower. I am not going to hand rake 1.25 acres. Takes long enough to mow. It does do a decent job.
We have 5+ acres so there is no way we rake it. That would be pure torture! We do use a grass sweeper though, and that picks up the grass and we use that for compost.
Seriously? No way! My hubby mows so that it all blows in the middle and then he cleans it up. There is no way we are raking our entire yard. I don't mind the grass that he misses - My body is already sore from exercise plus we don't have the time.
