My town wants us to start separating the plastic into different categories. It is bad enough recycling in my house where there is no space to put two extra bins, let alone six.
That's crazy! We produce a lot of recycling but have space to store it a short while. The kids take it to a local collection point every week or so. It's just the basic plastic/paper/can/bottle divide.
