Default Removing Sticky Stuff?

I bought my kids a toy the other day and it has some sticky stuff on it from the label that won't come off. Is there a green alternative to WD-40 that I can use to get the sticky stuff off of the toy. It's a shiny surface and I don't want to scratch it.

Use olive oil or some other light oil that will not stain. You could also use hair conditioner with lots of slip to it to lift up sticky substances.

Baby oil, and eucalyptus oild have also worked for me in the past. The oil can be cleaned off easily with a little soap and water on a cloth, or sometimes even just polished off.

I use baby oil for stuff like that. I pour some oil in a piece of cloth or and rub off the sticky part until it is gone.

There is a type of orange based product called Orange Miracle that is wonderful at removing sticky stuff. You do have to make sure it won't harm the surface of what you are working on though.
