Does anyone know about SLS in products? My cousin was just telling me about how it is cancer-causing and I wanted to know if anyone else had looked into this before. I don't want to throw out all of my products if it's actually safe.

It's impossible to be safe now a days. The chemicals that are in our food and everyday living are dangerous for sure. I guess all we can do is try to buy and eat fresh. As for cleaning chemicals I try to use minimal and not spray them in the air. If I need to spray a chemical I turn the nozzel to straight spray so it goes on the surface directly and not in to the air.

I had heard that more or less it was found in lotions and shampoos and creams. I hadn't even thought about cleaning products-- I try to use stuff that's as natural as possible. I also attempt to eat fresh and local food whenever I can.

I've never heard of SLs. What are they? You're right about not being able to be safe now. It is horrible that we can't live without chemicals but we have become totally dependant on them.

As far as I know, SLS stands for sodium laureth sulfate. It's a carcinogen and is found in many beauty products. I try to purchase organic things that have all natural ingrediants.
