Default T Shirt Yarn

I saw a wonderful little market bag the other day, made with old t-shirts that had been torn into strips and joined together to make yarn. I've got a ton that I've had for too long and they have tears and holes in them. I'm going to have to try this one.

That is an awesome idea and I have tons of t-shirts that I could use. I wonder if you could find a video about how to make the yarn on youtube or something?

It's amazing that with a little touch of creativity, old and used goods can be turned into something useful and eco-friendly at that! It would be really interesting to find out how they make the t-shirt yarn.

I found this on YouTube. There were several videos to choose from but they are all pretty much the same. This is the one I found:

I love the video and might have to give it a go after a few others let me know how hard it is to do. I have more time on my hands than I need right now and you can only house clean/shop so much in a day's time.

I love to knit with alternative materials. A friend of mine even made a bracelet with fishing line and beads. It turned out really well. I may have to try making something with t-shirt yarn.
