I read up on vermicomposting this week for a project I needed to help someone with but I have never heard of anyone doing this. Normal compost yes, bins for recycling yes, this not a clue who does this type of stuff.

I never knew there was a name for it, but I knew people used worms for composting. I was just reading up on vermicomposting because I didn't know what it was. One of the facts that I find interesting is that "a worm eats one half of their body weight in organic matter a day." I found this fact at: Vermicomposting I do make sure the worms stay in my garden box. I didn't realize how important they really are.

Vermicomposting is a great way to get rid of many things. We have a fishing habbit and this saves us money so I've done it for many years. What exactly do you need help with? Maybe I have information for you.

Okay, that's weird to me. I am not an outdoorsy kind of person and the thought of raising worms is just gross. Yuck! But to each their own I guess. I'd never have known this existed without reading this thread.
