Default What Do You Use For Kitty Litter?

If you have a cat, what do you use for an environmentally friendly kitty litter? I've been using shredded newspaper for a time but it's just not handy and I still have to dispose of it. What should I use?

There is one on the market called "Feline Pine". It's made from pine trees and will break down easily when it's disposed of. It is one of the more environmentally responsible brands.

That sounds pretty interesting DeepHollow. I don't have cats, but my aunt does and she uses sand. I am not sure if that is more "green" than other options. I am pretty sure she does it to save money.

When I had cats, I would try to find something super absorbent and environmentally safe. If I ever get another cat, I would like to try a cat genie litter box. Though, I do not know how expensive, effective, or green they are.
