Default What are you doing with gray water?

It rained yesterday which was the first time in the longest time or so it felt. While I noticed we had a bucket outside from the last time we hand washed the car, I noticed how much it had actually rained. I wasn't sure what to do with it, but I did not want to waste it or let it evaporate. So I went out back and I ended up refilling our kitty bowls will it.

It's quite popular where I live for people to actually have their sink and shower water directed out to water their gardens. Any excess water usually overflows to regular drainage to prevent overwatering, but I like this use of greywater.

I have thought about that. I would be a little worried about soap causing damage.

Well, if we'd actually get some rain it would be nice. We haven't had much this summer and it's drying up quickly out there. Any extra water I could get would go straight on the garden because it needs it bad.
