We have been wanting a patio for a long time and have decided to add one ourselves. Actually it will be more of a deck since we are going to do it in wood. We wanted concrete but can't really do that on our own. Hopefully we can get started on it soon.
That sounds like a nice addition you will have for your house. I'm sure you will enjoy it a lot, especially when the weather turns nice in the spring time. Hope it doesn't take you to long to get it done.
