My small bathroom (has a shower, not a bathtub) has an old floor that is peeling and trying to get up and walk away on its own.

I'd love to yank it up and put something newer in.

Is there a cheap and easy way of doing it? Do I have to take up the toilet and everything to put down some tile?

I don't think you have to remove the toilet to change the tiles in the bathroom. You can work around it, since it does not stand on the tiles.
