What kind of paint would you recommend for kitchen cabinets? I want them to look kind of shiny and it would be really nice if you could wipe them down without taking off the paint.

It really depends upon what surface the cabinets have now. If they are waxed wood, they will have to be sanded before you paint them. It sounds like you would need to paint with enamel to get a shiny surface. You probably would also have to base coat it before you finish paint it.
