Default Checking windows

How often do you check your windows and the screens? I read a scary article that 5,100 kid’s fall through or out of windows each year. Man that is crazy! I never really paid that much attention when I opened the windows (to the screens) and my kids are older now. Do you check yours?

Kids can fall through screens even if they are securely fastened. It's best if you have a window that will open from the top down or at least not open it far enough for the kids to fit out of it. It is very scary when you think of it.

Wow, I needed something else to worry about with a two year old tearing through the house. Now I am not going to want to open my windows this Fall!

I do, but that is because this is not the best place to live and I check that screens are secured and all windows locked each night. I guess it is good I do this since I have a little one.

I remember never paying attention to sliding glass doors at an old place I lived as a kid. I would miss the screen and run right through it. The house we have now when we bought it, had a single screen so we had to replace them all.

14 windows and 1 single screen, who takes their screens with them when they sell a house??

It's amazing what you can find when you start looking at various items around the house. I can't imagine what they would want with screens.

When you think about how screens are secured into the frame and what screens are made of these days, you don't want the kids to be pushing on them, even if they aren't high enough to be hurt.
