Default Dishwasher... Maybe?

I have a friend who has a dishwasher he will give me for free. I have not decided if I should take him up on the offer. I would lose cabinet space if I take it. Is it a worthwhile trade off?

It depends on how many people are in your family. We have a dishwasher but to be honest we hardly ever use it. I love to wash dishes by hand - the hot water soothes my tired hands.

I have the same issue except we already got the dishwasher it's just not installed. Personally, I hate washing dishes and can't wait until we get it installed.

Take it, take it, take it!!! Lol, can you tell I am the type who has to have a dishwasher?? Seriously, I would say your decision depends on how you feel about hand washing and how you would feel about losing the cabinet space.

I would say take it too. If you have kids, then it wills save a lot of time. If you have kids who hate to help with the dishes it wills save you a lot of trying to get them to do dishes.

I love my dishwasher. I hate to wash dishes too and it really saves a lot of time for me. We have a portable dishwasher though and it's really nice to be able to roll the thing out of the way when we need the space. I'd say take it.

I got the dishwasher, it is sitting in the garage at the moment. The next step will be a little more complicated because we will have to remove a section of cupboards where we want to put it.

Have you thought of trying to make it into a portable. You could probably rig it up in a rolling cabinet and attach the appropriate hoses and cords. I really like the fact mine is a portable and I can use the butcher block top as another surface to use when I'm prepping dinner.
