Lightbulb Fans for ventilation

I can't breathe freely when the air around me is still or I can't feel it moving, so I always have an electric fan on. I am thinking of having an orbit fan on the ceiling to save space.

Ceiling fans are a nice way to circulate the air and not take up space on the floor or on a desk or table. I used to have one in our house until my wife got tired of it and wanted me to take it down because we have low ceilings.

Did you have a "hugger", one that the motor of the fan fits snug to the ceilin and doesn't hang down?

I love ceiling fans. They are great to cool a room, but they also can save you money on heating and air conditioning bills.

I ditto what everyone has been saying here. I have a ceiling fan as well and I think it is great. You should make sure that you clean it every couple of months though as a lot of dust can accumulate on the blades.

It would be money well spent. And there are many different styles to choose from so it will blend in nicely with the room you put it in.

I never had ceiling fans until about 2 years ago, and now I'm totally hooked. They make a huge difference in keeping the air flowing and helping me to have some cool around me.

I have the same problem. I have a ceiling fan in each of the 3 bedrooms and a big one in the living room. It not only make me breath great, but it has helped lower electric bills since I don't have to run the AC on high all the time.

I had to chuckle at the dust comment. Sometimes I'm sitting here and little dust fragments drift on down. Oops - time to clean, and believe me, if it's been sitting still during the winter and you haven't dusted, anything below it will quickly remind you after you turn the fan on.

I'm intrigue why you can't breathe when there is no moving air around you. My girlfriend is the opposite because she cannot sleep with any kind of electric fan blowing air at her.

Oh gosh! I know they aren't considered to be stylish but I love my ceiling fans. We even have a ceiling fan in the kitchen! I have reduced my heating and cooling cost by using them too.
